To promote, encourage, foster, and cultivate the preservation, appreciation, understanding, enjoyment, support, and performance of jug band music as an
original American musical art form; other genres of music similar in style and execution including, but not limited to, jook, hokum, spasm, skiffle, washboard, and medicine
show music are also within the interest scope of the CJBA.;
To provide access to resources for performances, lectures, demonstrations, and/or educational presentations to any institutions supporting the goals of the association and
for the purpose of expanding public awareness of jug band music
To support the planning and execution of at least one annual jug band festival in the state of California;
To maintain an association Web site to publicize its mission and supported events and activities.
